BatchIQ vs TLOxp, Accurint, CLEAR and idiCORE
TLOxp, LexisNexis Accurint, Thomson Reuters CLEAR and idiCORE are the big names in credit-header skip tracing. BatchIQ runs on the same tier of data. Where it differs is how you buy it and use it:
- Price: one per-record price for every channel, compared with paying per search for each data type. At Accurint's published list prices, a full contact workup on one person costs $24.23.
- Onboarding: no credentialing, no site inspection and no minimum contract. You see 20 of your own rows matched on the call and can run your first file the same day. Compare that with credentialing applications, premises inspections, sales-led activation or one-year contracts.
- Tools: your own file in and out in minutes, compared with portals built around one subject at a time and batch jobs submitted over SFTP.
- Flexibility: unlimited rows, users and seats on every product, plus a marketing-list tier, compared with per-seat plans and terms that prohibit marketing use.
Everything below about the four platforms comes from their own public pages, as of October 2026. Links are next to each claim.
The short version

| Getting started | No credentialing or site inspection; 20 of your rows matched live on a call; first file the same day | Business application, review of business records, and "as applicable, a physical inspection" of your premises (TLO terms) | Contact sales (LexisNexis) | Contact sales; "minimum contract term is one year" (CLEAR) | Form, then account activation with a rep, for customers "who meet requirements" (IDI) |

Price
Only one of the four publishes prices. The Accurint for Legal Professionals pricing schedule, effective February 1, 2026, lists these per-search charges (LexisNexis):
| Accurint search | List price |
|---|---|
| Person Search | $5.83 |
| Phones Plus | $4.36 |
| Email Search Basic | $3.12 |
| Relatives (per degree of separation) | $7.28 |
| Liens & Judgments | $1.82 |
| Contact Card Report | $17.49 |
| Comprehensive Person Report | $21.85 |
Each data type is its own charge. To get what one BatchIQ match returns (a located person with phones, emails, relatives, and bankruptcy, lien and judgment records), you'd run:
| To get | Accurint search | List price |
|---|---|---|
| The person and current address | Person Search | $5.83 |
| Phone numbers | Phones Plus | $4.36 |
| Email addresses | Email Search Basic | $3.12 |
| Relatives | Relatives (one degree) | $7.28 |
| Liens and judgments | Liens & Judgments | $1.82 |
| Bankruptcies | Bankruptcy | $1.82 |
| Total per person | $24.23 |
That's arithmetic on the published schedule, not a quote. Charges marked on the schedule apply only when records are returned, and contract customers may pay less than list. But the structure is the point: the more channels you need, the more searches you pay for.
On BatchIQ, one match returns all of it at one per-record price: up to 5 phones, 5 emails, current address, 5 relatives with their own phones and emails, deceased verification, and bankruptcy, lien and judgment records. Nothing is priced per data type. The industry standard for comparable data is about $0.20 a row, and BatchIQ's price is set on the call to beat what you pay now. Users paying $0.20 a row could save $60,000 per million rows or more.
TLOxp, CLEAR and idiCORE don't publish pricing. Bring your current invoice or contract to the call and we'll quote against it.
Onboarding
The big platforms put steps between you and the data, and their own pages say so:
- TLOxp: access "is subject to Subscriber's compliance with all credentialing requirements, including completing a business application … and review of Subscriber's business records and information, and, as applicable, a physical inspection of Subscriber's business premises" (TLO terms).
- CLEAR: "Our minimum contract term is one year" (CLEAR).
- idiCORE: after you fill in a form, "an IDI representative will reach out to begin your account activation process," and accounts are available only to customers "who meet requirements" (IDI).
- Accurint: pricing and access go through LexisNexis sales (LexisNexis).
BatchIQ has none of that:
- No credentialing and no site inspection. Nobody visits your office before you can trace a file.
- No minimum contract. You pay per row, with no annual commitment.
- Same-day start. On a short data discovery call we match about 20 of your own rows live, free, and quote a per-row price at your volume. You can run your first full file the same day.
Tools
The four platforms are investigation suites. They search people, businesses, assets, vehicles, criminal history and more, one subject at a time through a portal, with batch options on the side. If your team runs deep investigations on individual subjects, that breadth is what you're paying for.
BatchIQ is built for teams who work lists:
- Your file in, your file out. Upload a CSV or XLSX as it is, with no cleanup or column mapping. Your original columns come back untouched, with the appended data beside them, ready for a dialer, CRM or letter vendor. Compare CLEAR's Batch Person Search, where request and response files go through an SFTP interface "where files can be submitted one at a time" (Thomson Reuters developer portal).
- Speed at volume. Up to 250,000 rows in five to seven minutes, by bulk upload or API.
- Every channel in one match. Up to 5 phones (98% cell-phone hit rate), 5 emails, current mailing address, 5 relatives with their own phones and emails, age, deceased verification, and bankruptcy, lien and judgment records, up to 270 rows of data per record.
- DNC scrubbing built in. Self-serve, unlimited, $199 a month flat.
- Files never retained or resold.
Flexibility
- Unlimited rows, users and seats. Give the whole floor access. There are no seat licenses or report bundles to manage, unlike per-seat plans such as CLEAR's (CLEAR).
- No lock-in. No minimum contract, so you can run a quarterly refresh without signing up for a year.
- Choose the depth per list. Use the full data option for collections, legal and lending files. Use BatchIQ Core (email, phone and mailing address only, at single-digit cents per row) to re-verify a marketing or customer list. One trace re-verifies the whole list at over 95% accuracy for those three channels. Marketing is one use the others restrict: IDI's terms, for example, prohibit using its services "for marketing purposes" (IDI terms).
- File or API. Run a quarterly portfolio refresh by upload, and trace new accounts by API as they arrive.
Where the big platforms fit better
Be honest about your use case. TLOxp, Accurint, CLEAR and idiCORE cover property, vehicle, criminal and court records, along with investigative reports that BatchIQ doesn't offer (TransUnion, LexisNexis, IDI). If you investigate individual subjects in depth, or trace fewer than 1,000 records a month, one of them may suit you better.
If you trace files of 1,000 or more records a month and want current contact data appended straight into them, BatchIQ is built for that job.
Permitted use
None of these are consumer reports. LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters and IDI each state that their services may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance or employment under the FCRA (LexisNexis, CLEAR, IDI). BatchIQ is a data provider, not a compliance product. Check your intended use with counsel whichever you choose.
Test it against your current provider
Send us records your team already traced with TLOxp, Accurint, CLEAR or idiCORE. On a data discovery call we match about 20 of them live, free, so you can compare results side by side. Then we quote a per-record price to beat what you pay now.
